Immigration is often an under looked topic in Canada although there is a much greater impact caused by it than expected. America tends to be setting the trend for immigration with drastic techniques such as family separation or rejection. Although Canada does not follow these trends quite to the same extreme, they still have internal issues that have lasting impacts.
Today in Canada, immigration is still a very common factor in what makes up Canada's population, however, the transport of “orphaned” children, also known as Home Children, into the country is not seen anymore. Home children are a thing of the past and Canada has moved past this.
